AESE has traditionally had liaisons with other societies such as the European Association of Science Editors (EASE) and the Council of Science Editors (CSE). The role of a liaison is to participate in both societies and report back on their activities, particularly at annual meetings.
Over the past couple of years, however, these positions have gone dormant. The long-term viability of AESE is in part reliant on healthy relationships with sister societies such as these. If you happen to belong to EASE, CSE, or a similar society as well as AESE (or have considered joining one), and might be interested in acting as a liaison, we’d like to hear about it. Interested parties should e-mail me directly.
